Nama’a Core · Financial reconciliation

Why does the sales figure differ from the money received in the bank?

A delivery platform reports sales and orders, but may deduct commissions, fees, promotions and compensation. A payout can also cover a period different from the report period. Reconciliation therefore requires more than one figure.

01

Start with sales, then build the settlement

Define period sales and source-backed financial components, then calculate the expected settlement without duplicating deductions or combining unrelated periods.

02

A transfer notice is not confirmed bank receipt

A platform notice shows what the platform says it transferred. It does not by itself prove the restaurant's bank received the money. Independent bank evidence remains the reconciliation reference.

03

A difference needs an explanation

Timing, deductions, refunds or missing evidence can create a difference. Do not close it automatically; display it with the available evidence for management review.

Common questions

Clear answers before the decision.

Does bank reconciliation prove every platform fee is correct?

No. A matching final amount does not prove every component is correct. Commissions, fees and promotions can be checked independently when their sources are available.

What happens when period data is incomplete?

The reconciliation should remain incomplete instead of assuming zero or declaring a match without enough evidence.
